Boys Travel Lacrosse 2019

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

MEN'S LACROSSE STICK-Do not purchase a girls stick. The key difference is a boys pocket is deeper. Ask for help if you are not sure.

MOUTH GUARD-Colored is required; it can't be white or clear. Make sure the device covers the molars. You must also boil and fit the mouth guard.

HELMET-Purchase a lacrosse helmet. No substitutions will be allowed.

GLOVES-Purchase lacrosse gloves. No substitutions will be allowed.

SHOULDER PADS-Make sure the pads cover the chest/solarplex area. As your son grows, it is important these areas are still being protected.

ARM PADS-Required

CLEATS-Lacrosse is played on many different types of surfaces including grass and artificial turf.

PROTECTIVE CUP-Required for all practices and games. If your son is not wearing one he will not be allowed to participate.

RIB PROTECTION-Rib guards are optional but will provide another layer of protection.

has a shallow pocket. Ask for help if you are not sure.

GOGGLES-REQUIRED

MOUTH GUARD-REQUIRED: It must be colored, cannot be white or clear. Make sure
device covers the molars. You must also boil and fit the mouth guard as
per manufacturer’s instructions.

GLOVES-OPTIONAL: Purchase girl’s lacrosse gloves. Do NOT use hockey gloves as
the thumb on a hockey glove is too stiff to handle a lax stick. Ask for
assistance at the sports shop.

CLEATS-REQUIRED: Ramsey Lacrosse players practice and play on grass. Cleats
are a must have item. Some away games will be played of turf and players
may prefer sneakers or turf shoes at these events.

Welcome

Ramsey Lacrosse-Spring 2019 Youth Travel Teams (grades 3-8), Junior Rams (grade 2) and Winter Clinics. 

(Please read the entire welcome page before you proceed to registration.)

Boys & Girls - Grade 3 through Grade 8 (Travel Teams)  

REGISTRATION:

Boys & Girls - $170 - Grade 3 through Grade 8  (Multiple child discounts will be credited at checkout:2nd child-$20 and 3rd child-$30)

Late Registration Fee (after January 15th, 2019 - $50: After February 1st, 2019 - $75)  

If you register before Monday, Nov 12th, you'll receive a free sweatshirt for the player.  

Uniforms - All uniforms will be order online either through the registration process or by visiting https://ramseylacrosse2018-19.itemorder.com/.  All uniforms need to be ordered by Feb 1st, 2019 otherwise delivery is not guaranteed before the first game.  It is strongly suggested you attend the sizing event, details below, to assure proper sizing.  

***Boys-if you played last year and ordered a new uniform you are entitled to a replacement pair of shorts.  In order to take advantage of this deal you need to order by Friday, December 7th, 2018.  It is strongly suggested you attend the sizing event, details below before ordering any parts of the uniform.  Boys Full Uniform Fee - Reversible Sublimated Jersey $35, Shooter Shirt $24 and Shorts $26

***Girls Full Uniform Fee - $76 (Blue and White Jerseys and Skorts) - Jersey $24 each or Skorts only $28.  

As part of the regsitration fee we'll be including a pair of athletic team socks, please remember to include your child size (sizing chart is available during the registration process).  Additional pairs of socks can be ordered for $12 dollars per pair.  

Mandatory volunteer fee of $100 will be assessed at checkout.  The fee will be refunded once your volunteer commitment has been fulfilled.

During the registration process you will be asked to renew your membership with US Lacrosse or join for the first time.  Every child must be registered with US lacrosse in order to participate with Ramsey Jr. Lacrosse. The expiration date must extend out until 8/30/2019; otherwise, you'll need to renew.  US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP

Junior Rams - 2nd Grade, both Boys and Girls, new and expanded program this year!  

All second grade boys and girls may participate in the Junior Rams program.  The program will meet 2x a week and will be comprised of (1) weekend session and (1) weeknight session, beginning in mid April and concluding on Saturday, June 1 - our annual BBQ.  The Rams program is designed to meet the needs of the introductory lacrosse player as well as those who participated in the k-1 clinics in prior years.  Emphasis will be placed on the fundamentals of lacrosse including stick skills, footwork, shooting, ground balls, ball movement, offensive and defensive positioning and game play.  Registration is $75.

*IN-PERSON EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORM SIZING ALONG WITH APPAREL ORDERING WILL BE HELD ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS:

We highly recommend you attend one of these sessions to avoid any confusion when ordering equipment or uniforms.  All boys who ordered shorts last year will have them replaced for free this year.  All sales will be final and no refunds will be granted by Universal Lax (equipment vendor) or Sports Time (uniform vendor).  

FRIDAY, November 30th, 2018, 6:00PM - 9:00PM & SATURDAY December 1st, 2018. 9:00AM - NOON. AT FINCH PARK SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER BLDG.

 *Universal Lacrosse will be present during the In Person Registration Dates of 11/30/2018 & 12/01/2018 for lacrosse equipment (i.e. helmet, chest pads, elbow pads, gloves & lacrosse stick) fitting and purchase. Equipment costs are separate from registration fees.  They are located in Suffern NY and can be reached at 845-918-1294.

Winter Clinics:

Winter clinics will begin the week of Jan 1st, 2018 and you'll order directly from the Superdome.

The clinics are a great way for the kids to sharpen their skills and prepare for the upcoming season.  We recommend all players to participate in these.  The kids will attend 8, 1 hour long sessions and the Ramsey High School Coaches will be on hand to coach.  We've partnered with the Superdome to provide you with a great experience and price, only $199 dollars for the 8 sessions.  Superdome: 134 Hopper Ave., Waldwick, NJ  07463  201-444-7660     

Boys - Grade 3-8, 8 Sessions - Wednesdays, 4-5pm beginning on January 2nd and ending on February 20th.  

Girls - Grade 3-8, 8 Sessions - Thursdays, 4-5pm beginning on January 3rd and ending on February 21st.
